At Wegmans, our cashiers ensure customers have a positive shopping experience. In this role, you will provide proactive, excellent customer service by assisting customers at checkout and self-checkout lanes. You will leave a lasting impression and help turn first-time shoppers into loyal Wegmans customers!
What will I do?
* Engage customers with friendly conversation, make eye contact, smile, offer assistance, and thank them for shopping at Wegmans.
* Scan items and process payments efficiently and accurately at the register.
* Bag items properly to ensure they arrive in the same condition they left the store.
* Manage traffic flow at self-checkout, direct customers to available lanes, ensure equipment is operational, and assist with troubleshooting.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace.
