What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to a Technical Director, the Environmental Project Director will be a key member of our environment team, leading client contact for major service frameworks and large development schemes such as infrastructure and renewable projects. You will facilitate the integration of pre- and post-consenting activities into project delivery, working across environmental, planning, design, assessment, and construction sectors. Coordination with EIA/Planning Specialists and Project Managers will be essential.
This role is dynamic, with responsibilities including working with clients, attending meetings and workshops, providing advice on consent applications and compliance, managing environmental teams, and ensuring technical inputs meet client needs. You may act as Project Manager or support a lead Project Manager in overseeing project financials.

* Leading technical meetings and integrating consent conditions into project design.
* Communicating consent requirements to relevant teams.
* Supporting commercial aspects, including proposals and tenders.
* Contributing to client management and business development.
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience in project planning and delivery of environmental aspects for Planning/DCO applications.
* Proven support in delivering consent programs for major UK infrastructure projects.
* Experience in multidisciplinary consenting activities, including water, biodiversity, cultural heritage, landscape, and contaminated land remediation.
* Knowledge of consent regimes such as hybrid Bills, Planning Act, Transport and Works Act, Highways Act, Town and Country Planning Act, and Environmental Permitting.
* Understanding of consenting issues and risk management in design processes.
