Engineering @ 365 is working with a well-established engineering manufacturer in Long Eaton, known for producing high-quality, low-volume precision components. Due to continued growth within the machine shop, the company is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator to support ongoing production demands.
Job Description:
As a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components. You will work with low-volume and small-batch parts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines (HAAS experience preferred).

Create CNC programs, fixtures, and jigs for new components.
*
Optimise machining processes to achieve efficient and accurate production.
*
Where required, run multiple machines to support productivity.
*
Carry out detailed self-inspection using manual measuring tools.
*
Ensure all machined components meet drawing requirements and quality specifications.
*
Identify any issues affecting quality or performance and report them promptly.
*
Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical queries and support new component introduction.
*
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department.
*
Maintain a safe, organised and clean working environment at all times.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines (HAAS advantageous).
*
Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent background in CNC machining.
*
Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
*
Experience with conventional milling/Bridgeport machinery is desirable.
*
Familiarity with Edgecam programming software is an advantage.
*
Quality-focused with strong self-checking and problem-solving skills.
*
Positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
*
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality procedures, SOPs, and workplace safety guidelines.
