New NHS Opportunity – Band 7 / 8a Clinical Pharmacist | West Yorkshire
I’m pleased to share a new opportunity for an experienced Band 7 or Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist to join one of the NHS hospitals in West Yorkshire .
This is a full-time locum role (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday), working cross-site depending on service needs. Occasional evening working up to 6:00pm may be required.
Location: West Yorkshire
Start: ASAP – 3 months+
Pay Rate: £30–£36 ph umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent)
Role Highlights
Deliver clinical pharmacy services including prescription review and medicines optimisation
Provide expert medicines advice to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers
Support high-risk and complex prescribing decisions
Participate in audit, research, and service development
Contribute to training and education across the pharmacy team
✅ Key Requirements
MPharm (or equivalent) and GPhC registration
Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent)
Previous NHS hospital experience
Strong clinical pharmacy and medicines management knowledge
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to CPD
Independent Prescriber qualification desirable (not essential)
Must be eligible to work in the UK
