Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Assessment Worker to join a specialist support service. This important role involves engaging with individuals affected by domestic abuse, completing high‑quality risk and needs assessments, and ensuring survivors are connected to the most appropriate support services to enhance safety and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Provide quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse.
* Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments.
* Provide immediate emotional and practical support.
* Develop safety and support plans.
* Provide a triage service for clients waiting to move onto community support.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies.
* Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
* Support safeguarding processes and referrals.
Qualifications
* Has experience working with vulnerable individuals or within support services.
* Understands the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse.
* Has strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills.
* Can manage sensitive situations professionally and empathetically.
* Is committed to empowerment, equality, and survivor‑focused practice.
