🌟 CAD Technician – Rail (2D AutoCAD)


My client specialises in consultancy, design and development for rail infrastructure, with a strong focus on Overhead Line Electrification (OLE). As they continue to expand, they’re looking for a talented 2D CAD Technician to join our team in Sheffield.


💼 About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the rail design sector, producing and updating drawings that support major rail infrastructure projects.


Your responsibilities will include:

* Producing 2D AutoCAD drawings
* Updating layouts based on topographical surveys and on-site survey markups
* Supporting the Civils department with temporary works designs
* Working full-time from our Sheffield office (potential for reduced office days after 6 months)


🎓 What We’re Looking For

* Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
* Experience working with technical drawings (preferably in Rail, though not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
