We’re thrilled to have been awarded a 10-year Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract by ReNew ELP at the world’s first commercial scale plastic recycling plant and are now looking to form our amazing site team.
Based in Teesside, you’ll be key in delivering excellence in safe, efficient operations and maintenance using HydroPRS technology to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic. Joining us as we commission and start up, your experience and contributions will see us achieve recycling of over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic each year, with the scope for expansion as we grow.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager.
The primary function of the role is be the site Engineering & Maintenance Manager in line with business, client site permit and legislative requirements provide leadership & management of Engineering & Maintenance people, philosophy, strategy, actions, reporting, results & compliance during all running states.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all E&M processes, systems, reporting mechanisms and contracts are in place for identifying & managing engineering risk, meeting the above requirements. Use the framework of disciplined maintenance as best practice. Ensure their effective communication, understanding and monitoring by all department employees & personnel required to complete E&M tasks.
Provide appropriate guidance and support for all major site engineering and maintenance events including outage and plant shut down, unplanned and planned events and incidents. Provide leadership regarding investigations, processes, audits, procedural actions and communications
Lead and manage the E&M Department and other assigned personnel ensuring they meet required standards in a safe, timely manner. Overall responsibility for supervision, development, welfare and engineering capability & competency in discipline areas & their ability to address Approve the programme of work for submission into the AOP ensuring correct testing & maintenance is completed & assigned budgets are managed responsibly. Ensure the actual cost of maintaining the plant during a financial year is less than the AOP budget
Ensure that competent discipline experts are available to address the technical requirements of the Operating Site. These may be sourced from the incumbent Operating Site team or from head office resource if local organisational arrangements do not allow for this.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
Minimum Requirements:
* HNC or equivalent in chemical, mechanical, electrical, control, instrumentation, and /or time served apprenticeship in a related engineering discipline.
* IOSH Certificate – Managing Safely
* Experience of managing chemical process plant and/or waste recycling/material handling operations, maintenance, or engineering in a 24/7 operational environment.
* Developing, implementing & evaluating systems, upgrades, improvements & modifications (Management of Change).
* Familiar with budgetary procedures, setting and controlling of operational and capital budgets.
* Experienced in fault diagnosis & problem-solving techniques and O&M responsibilities with material handling units
