Mechanical Estimator We are currently looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join an established mechanical subcontractor specialising in the design and installation of all types of pipework operating within the water supply and wastewater treatment industry, working on multi-million-pound projects mainly in the South / South East of England. This position will be predominantly office based in Horsham with occasional site visits. Responsibilities: * Support the Estimating Manager with Mechanical bids and tenders. * Prepare and submit prime cost estimates utilising Cypher Estimating Software. * Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues. * Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates. * Identify and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options. * Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations. * Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. * Control and organise tender documentation. * Track variations and valuations. * Perform other duties at managements' discretion.
