About the Role
Personal Assistant (Maternity Cover) for the Group Purchasing Director at JCB. The PA will provide a professional, proactive service to the director and the Group Purchasing team.
Day to Day Responsibilities
* Answer incoming calls, take messages and redirect calls.
* Produce a range of professional documents including letters, emails and presentations.
* Organise meetings and events.
* Manage the collation of weekly and monthly reporting.
* Understand and apply policies and procedures consistently and fairly, using judgement and knowledge to support the director and the wider department.
* Actively seek ways to improve and enhance processes whilst ensuring existing process compliance.
* Ensure that all filing, both paper and electronic, complies with GDPR data protection guidelines.
* Act as a central point for the department, collating, quality checking and distribution of confidential reports and data.
* Organise local, national and overseas travel.
* Help coordinate the activities of the team in the UK and around the World.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience working in a fast‑paced, global organisation.
* Experience managing complex worldwide travel for multiple stakeholders.
* A commitment to good customer service with a drive for continuous improvement.
* Ability to manage multiple commitments, stakeholders and priorities concurrently.
* Data‑driven, skilled with Microsoft applications for reporting and capturing information.
* Professional, confident with strong written and spoken communication skills.
* A leader of compliance, with high attention to detail to maintain accuracy and process integrity.
* Highly organised, able to manage a varied programme of work and manage others’ expectations.
* Agile in a demanding workplace.
* Strong teamwork, enthusiastic, flexible, proactive, with strong interpersonal skills, applying policies and processes to professional operational standards.
