Registered Social Worker (Family Support Service) Looked After Children/Young Adults
Location: Catch Head Office, Houston, Renfrewshire (10 mins from Glasgow airport, 25 minutes from Glasgow city centre)
Salary: £43,000 p.a | Hours: 37 hrs/week (Office + Community shifts & on-call)

Responsibilities:
Lead Catch Scotlands new Family Support Service for looked after sibling groups, managing a small caseload (34 in Year 1).
Work with children and young adults to maintain sibling relationships, support educational outcomes, and reduce placement disruption.
Conduct assessments, develop SMART support plans, and contribute to multi-agency care planning and reviews.
Supervise and support staff teams, ensure policy adherence, and manage training, performance, and reflective practice sessions.
Participate in senior on-call rota (12 evenings per week) and liaise regularly with external agencies, social work, and The Care Inspectorate.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration and demonstrable experience in a lead professional role.
Knowledge of GIRFEC, SHANARRI, The Promise, and relevant legislation (Children (Scotland) Act 1995, 2014).
Skilled in assessment, risk management, life story work, family intervention, and multi-agency collaboration.
Proven ability to manage and develop staff through supervision, performance management, and CPD.
Confident communicator, highly organised, proficient in Microsoft 365, and capable of working under pressure.
