People Data & Insights Specialist


1. Shape people focused decisions across NFU Mutual, using analytics and insight to influence leaders and inform meaningful action.

2. A highly analytical, consultative role where you’ll turn complex people data into clear, compelling insight that supports projects, priorities and change.

3. Head Office based (Stratford Upon Avon) with 80/20 hybrid working, offering flexibility alongside strong collaboration.


About the role

This is a 12-month fixed term contract as a People Data and Insights Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in helping the business make data driven decisions through insightful analysis of people data. Drawing on a wide range of internal and external data sources you’ll use your analytical expertise and judgement to identify trends, highlight risks and opportunities, and make evidence based recommendations that influence leaders across the organisation.


You’ll create and deliver high quality people insights, reports and dashboards by using tools such as Power BI to tell clear and compelling data stories. Working closely with stakeholders across HR and the wider business, you’ll tailor insight to different audiences and ensure complex information is translated into practical, actionable outputs that support decision making at senior levels.


You’ll provide subject matter expertise to projects and initiatives, bringing a people data lens to help shape outcomes. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of people data architecture, benchmarking and external insight, supporting a mature and trusted insights service across the Group.

About you

You’re an experienced data and insight professional who enjoys working with complex information and turning it into something meaningful. You’re naturally analytical and curious, confident applying critical thinking to interpret data, challenge assumptions and draw out clear conclusions. Accuracy and attention to detail matter to you, particularly when working with sensitive people data.


You’re also a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You’re comfortable influencing at pace and explaining insights to both technical and nontechnical audiences and using data storytelling to support informed decision making. You take a consultative approach by understanding business needs and shaping your outputs accordingly.


You’re comfortable working independently, managing your own priorities and contributing to projects with confidence. You’ll enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting team capability and continuously developing your own skills, while acting as a trusted and credible people data expert.


Technical skills required:



4. Advanced data analysis and interpretation using large, complex people datasets

5. Strong experience producing insight, reports and dashboards using Power BI

6. Use of Microsoft Power Platform and other data manipulation tools

7. Experience researching and analysing external datasets, benchmarks and industry trends

8. Data storytelling and presentation skills for senior, nontechnical audiences

9. Experience of supporting or contributing to projects, providing data insight and analytical expertise to inform outcomes (desirable)
