Overview
Leeds Hybrid, Tuesday to Thursday in office. Full-time. 9-day fortnight option. Salary £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience.
What you will do
* Plan and deliver technical SEO strategies that enhance site performance, crawlability and organic visibility
* Conduct full site audits, identify technical issues and implement recommendations
* Analyse site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicalisation, schema markup and Core Web Vitals
* Optimise page speed, rendering and mobile performance across multiple CMS platforms
* Support website migrations, site moves and redirects to ensure SEO integrity is maintained
* Collaborate with developers, content and client service teams to implement technical recommendations effectively
Analysis, reporting and insights
* Monitor SEO performance and identify data-led opportunities for improvement
* Use tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, DeepCrawl and Google Search Console to diagnose and report on issues
* Prepare clear, concise performance reports for internal and client review
* Track algorithm updates and share relevant insights with the team and clients
Cross-functional collaboration
* Work closely with the Head of SEO, Digital PR and Content teams to align technical priorities with wider digital strategies
* Contribute to brainstorming sessions and campaign planning
* Communicate technical recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences, ensuring understanding and buy-in
Innovation and growth
* Stay up to date with emerging SEO technologies, ranking factors and industry trends
* Proactively suggest process improvements and opportunities for automation
* Support new business activity with technical input, audits and recommendations where needed
What we are looking for
* Around 4 years experience in a digital marketing agency with hands-on involvement in technical SEO delivery
* Strong understanding of site architecture, crawling, indexing, redirects and Core Web Vitals
* Experience conducting site audits and implementing technical improvements
* Working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager and Search Console
* Proficient using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush and DeepCrawl
* Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify or Magento
* Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Curious, collaborative and motivated to keep learning and improving
