As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo in Wellington College, Dukes Ride, Crowthorne, Berkshire, RG45 7PU, you will be a key part of the kitchen team. You'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and food & beverage preparation areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will make you a major part of everyone's everyday experience.

What You’ll Do:
* Wash all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, as well as food service equipment.
* Ensure the following are kept clean and tidy to a very high standard:
o Floors & Walls
o Bins – inside and out
o Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes
o Fridges & Freezers (with assistance from chefs)
o Delivery areas
* Maintain cleanliness and safety of working areas.
* Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials as required
* Adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing your work, ensuring the correct chemicals/detergents are always used.
* Report all accidents (and near misses) to the Chef.
* Report any shortages in equipment or chemicals to the Sous Chefs or any other senior member of staff.
* Exercise due care and attention to ensure minimal breakages of equipment
* Transport provisions, equipment, and other catering related items as required
* Ensure the proper storage, disposable of all waste products in accordance with mandatory regulations
What You Bring:
Essential
* No experience necessary, just a keen interest to learn
* Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
* Ability to achieve performance criteria about hygiene
* Good communication skills
* Ability to adhere to health and safety practises
* Flexibility on work schedule will be required at times as may be required to work unsociable hours in line with business requirements
