ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsThe main function of the Testing Technician position is to test the functionality of the parts and ensure robust quality standards. A flexible and responsive approach is essential, together with the ability to solve problems and identify root causes. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of health & safety procedures, quality standards. Guidance and instruction will be provided. This role is on rotating morning and afternoon shift. Morning Shift 5.45am - 1.35pm, Afternoon Shift 1.25pm - 9.15pm.Specific Responsibilities Perform Quality and Fastener functionality and mechanical testing Operate and maintain inspection machines to ensure continuous output Use measuring equipment and installation tooling Communicate and liaise with team members on any queries Communicate effectively with other process members to ensure quality of promise to customers is met. i.e. Customer Service, Cell team, Production Manual handling Test Equipment Priorities workload Conduct routine & preventive maintenance/TPM to schedule Ensure all daily checks are carried out Ensure stock levels do not fall below minimum requirements using can ban cards Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the cell area. Input into the cell operation as a team member, working to best practice Offer suggestions where appropriate to improve working methods and towards developing a continuous improvement environment.
