We are a welcoming, forward‑thinking GP practice seeking a motivated Salaried GP to join us for 68 sessions per week (with flexibility around working patterns, including job share). Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting
* Work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care for all registered patients
* Contribute to planning and decision making as part of the practice team; cover clinical and organisational elements
* Provide surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, issue and sign repeat prescriptions, and manage queries and paperwork
* Make professional autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness; develop care plans; provide counselling and health education
* Prescribe in accordance with the prescribing formulary; admit or discharge patients; refer them as appropriate
* Provide clinical supervision and support to training doctors
* Comply with relevant practice policy and guidelines; commit to lifelong learning, audit and effectiveness issues
* Maintain GMC registration; ensure medical defence cover; inclusion on local performers list
* Support on‑call duties, emergency home visits, and surgery consultations as required
* Contribute to strategic management and development of the practice, including policy, guidelines, audits and training
Qualifications & Competencies
* Current UK professional registration (GMC registered)
* Experience as a GP in primary care; salary can be discussed depending on experience
* Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in annual GP appraisal
* Ability to work autonomously and in teamwork; good communication skills
* Knowledge of local health system, clinical governance and audit processes
* Experience with EMIS or similar clinical systems is desirable
* Strong organisational and management skills; experience in job share or flexible working schedules desirable
