Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking and growing organisation. As the Administrator at Acer Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home alongside residents and staff. The role is varied, ensuring no two days are the same, and requires previous administrative experience within a care home environment. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to prepare reports, organise recruitment events and other activities. Your duties will include carrying out pre‑employment checks, referencing, sending offer letters and building strong relationships with residents and staff. You will create and maintain files, conduct monthly audits ensuring full confidentiality, lead the reception team in 1:1 meetings and appraisals, and manage budgeting controls.
Remuneration & Hours
£28,000 per annum – 40 hours per week (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
Responsibilities and Duties
* Collaborate with the management team to provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations within Acer Lodge.
* Represent the Acer Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
* Attend and actively contribute to team meetings, including taking and distributing meeting minutes as required.
* Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.
Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience within a similar environment.
* NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent) or willingness to complete this qualification if not already obtained.
* Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
