About the Role
As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll work with experienced technicians who provide the tools and support needed to succeed and progress your career.
At a Glance
* Salary: up to £55,000, depending on skills and experience, plus overtime available.
* Working Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings at a premium overtime rate.
* Week 1: Monday to Friday – 06:00–14:00
* Week 2: Monday to Thursday – 14:00–22:00
* Week 2: Friday – 13:00–21:00
* Contract: Permanent role
* Location: Fenny Lock (NDC)
What You'll Be Doing
* You’ll be working on our large HGV fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both DVSA and Partnership’s requirements.
* You’ll complete relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, administration and accurate reporting using our fleet management programme Key2.
* Apply best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to deliver high‑quality repairs cost‑effectively, using spare parts and consumables appropriately.

Essential Experience/Qualifications Required
* City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
* Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
* Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
Desirable Skills
* IRTEC.
* LGV C+E Driving Licence.
