Property Compliance Manager (Housing / Landlord Compliance) Location: East of England (Hybrid) Rate: £450 per day Contract: 6 Months Spencer Clark Group are recruiting for a senior property compliance lead to oversee statutory compliance and safety across a council property portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership post with responsibility for policy, risk management, audit and assurance, and remedial programmes. You will manage a team of circa 7 to 8 FTE and work closely with stakeholders across housing maintenance, compliance and asset teams, ensuring the portfolio remains safe, legally compliant and performance is measurable through clear KPIs. Responsibilities include: Lead and maintain landlord and building safety policies, strategies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice Manage and develop a compliance team, including performance management, coaching and capability building Drive delivery across compliance disciplines such as asbestos, fire safety and legionella (plus wider building safety compliance) Implement robust reporting and governance, including written and verbal updates to senior stakeholders Oversee remedial action programmes, ensuring actions are recorded, progressed and closed out quickly Build audit and assurance processes to continuously improve compliance performance Commission and manage consultants and contractors, including performance meetings and issue resolution Provide advice and guidance on compliance and building safety across the wider organisation About you: Strong experience leading landlord health and safety / housing compliance within a similar environment Track record managing compliance programmes (ideally across multiple disciplines such as asbestos, fire and legionella) Confident people manager with strong stakeholder skills Contractor management and performance oversight experience Qualifications such as NEBOSH and/or a building surveying qualification (HNC or equivalent) are highly relevant How to Apply Send your CV or get in touch with Joe O'Halloran at Spencer Clarke Group on 01772 954200 or
