Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of a design team to produce detailed electrical designs, calculations and documentation for a wide range of projects.
* Assist senior engineers with outline design schemes and check technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Undertake site visits during construction to monitor progress and contribute to buildable, coordinated solutions across disciplines.
* Advise clients and architects on energy use, conservation and carbon reduction, supporting environmental objectives.
* Liaise with Statutory Authorities for new connections and upgrades, preparing applications and technical submissions.
* Manage elements of project delivery including design supervision, costing, programme and quality administration.
* Contribute to developing and maintaining internal standards, QA procedures and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
* Proficiency in electrical design principles with the ability to exercise independent technical judgement and apply relevant Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations.
* Competence with CAD, awareness of BIM workflows and the ability to translate requirements to CAD technicians.
* Experience using power design software such as Amtech and lighting design tools such as Relux or Dialux.
* Organised, proactive approach with sound time management, cost awareness and the initiative to work with minimal supervision.
* Desire to keep developing professionally, staying current with regulations, energy efficiency and best practice.
