Rate: QA - £365 per day (Inside IR35) and Senior QA up to £450pd

We are supporting a major public-sector programme seeking an experienced QA Engineer and a Senior QA Engineer with strong non-functional testing experience to join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex digital transformation work.
This role is focused on automation-first quality engineering within modern CI/CD environments, with a particular emphasis on performance, accessibility, and non-functional assurance across large-scale cloud-based platforms.
Key Requirements
* Strong hands-on experience with:
* Java
* Selenium
* Cucumber
* Strong experience in non-functional testing, including:
* Performance testing
* Accessibility testing
* Security testing
* Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
* Experience working within Agile, BDD, and TDD environments
* Strong API and integration testing capability
* Comfortable working closely with developers within engineering-led teams
Nice to Have
* Experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar performance tools
* Experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG
* Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure)
* BPSS Clearance
* Ability to attend site in Newcastle 2 days per week
* Public sector or government programme experience
