Lincoln Bishop University is seeking an organised, customer‑focused and proactive individual to join our Admissions Team as an Admissions Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at the heart of the applicant journey, supporting prospective students from application through to enrolment. You will contribute to delivering a high‑quality, efficient and compliant admissions service, ensuring that every applicant receives a positive and professional experience. Working under the guidance of the Senior Admissions Officer, you will be responsible for processing applications, making decisions in line with agreed criteria, and maintaining accurate applicant records across our systems. You will act as a key point of contact for applicants, providing advice on entry requirements, course information and the application process. The role also includes supporting and delivering large‑scale applicant events such as interview days and Offer Holder Days. You will help to ensure these events run smoothly, providing a welcoming and informative experience for applicants and their supporters. You will work closely with colleagues across Admissions, Student Recruitment, Marketing and academic departments, contributing to a collaborative approach to recruitment, conversion and enrolment activity. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service. You will be confident working with systems and data, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable communicating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in Higher Education admissions, within a supportive and forward‑thinking team. Key responsibilities include: Processing applications and making decisions in line with agreed criteria Maintaining accurate records within admissions systems Responding to applicant enquiries via phone, email and in person Supporting the planning and delivery of interview days and Offer Holder events Liaising with academic departments and external bodies (e.g. UCAS) Supporting peak activity periods including Clearing and enrolment Additional Information The postholder will contribute to the University's commitment to supporting the social and economic development of the region by expanding access to education and skills at all stages of life.
