Plymouth Talking Therapies is seeking a Qualified and Accredited PWP to join the step 2 team.
If you are in the final stages of a Graduate or Postgraduate Certificate or MSci Talking Therapies PWP qualification and are awaiting your final results, we welcome your application. Please answer positively to the pre-application question to proceed. The role is offered at Band 4, with progression to Band 5 upon completion of BABCP/BPS Registration.
You will gain:

* Integrating Talking Therapies within long-term conditions care pathways in collaboration with Livewell and University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.
You will join a supportive team of PWP colleagues and deliver a full range of low-intensity CBT interventions.

All staff are expected to work across a 7-day service. Flexible working and job sharing are considered. Interviews will be conducted via Teams.
Main duties of the job
Assess and provide evidence-based treatment to individuals with common mental health issues, supporting self-management of recovery. Conduct patient-centered assessments to identify desired changes and evaluate risk to self and others.
Make decisions regarding the suitability of new referrals, adhering to referral protocols, referring patients to other services or back to referrers as appropriate, and stepping up patients for high-intensity treatment when necessary.
Deliver a range of low-intensity psychological interventions, including guided self-help, computerized CBT, psychoeducational courses, and information on pharmacological treatments.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the Stepped Care model is consistently applied. Work may be conducted face-to-face, via telephone, or through other platforms.
Follow work plans to minimize waiting times and ensure accessible, convenient treatment delivery.
Complete all data collection requirements and maintain professional, coherent records of clinical activity in line with Livewell policies.
Participate in weekly caseload management supervision and biweekly clinical skills supervision.

Job responsibilities
1. Clinical
1.1. Accept referrals within agreed protocols.
1.2. Support individuals with mental health issues in self-management.
1.3. Conduct patient-centered interviews, identify change areas, and assess risks.
1.4. Decide on referral suitability, refer or step up patients as appropriate.
