Set within the majestic surroundings of a former Benedictine monastery, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat where history, elegance, and outstanding customer service come together. What will the role involve? As our Maintenance Manager, you will lead a motivated team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards across the hotel. You will take ownership of all safety, security and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate health and safety records and a consistently well ‑ maintained property. You will recruit, train and develop your team, uphold brand standards and ensure all maintenance operations run efficiently. The role requires calm, confident decision ‑ making, strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A solid understanding of stock control, forecasting and budgeting is essential. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a passion for creating an outstanding guest experience as part of our Hand Picked team. This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business. You will have passion and pride in delivering exceptional, high-quality, personalised service to ensure our guests experiences are memorable. You will ideally have current hotel Maintenance management experience within a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel, however previous facility management or trade management experience will be considered. Confident with all aspects of the Hotels Maintenance administration, particularly with regards to Health & Safety, as well as having a good all round knowledge of maintenance, keeping the hotel looking immaculate and in excellent working condition will be your passion and motivation. With proven experience of training and coaching colleagues, you will enjoy motivating others to be their best. A good understanding of compliance, regulations and reporting of these will be an essential requirement of the role.
