About the Role:
* Working within the Domestic Abuse Team as a family practitioner to complete 10 day family help assessments, to lead on Child in Need plans and support children and families.
* Support families where domestic abuse is the main presenting concern.
* Work alongside social workers on Child Protection plans.
* To complete domestic abuse specific work with victims, alleged perpetrators, children and wider family members.
* An understanding of family dynamics and child development and how parenting affects the development of the child, as evidenced in case examples specifically related to domestic abuse is essential.
