Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements: We require significant experience in senior procurement or category management roles, with a proven track record of building and running commercial category programmes. We require deep expertise in at least three core technology categories, including enterprise software, IT services, and cloud and platform services. We require a demonstrable record of delivering P&L savings in a complex, matrixed organisation. We require experience leading sourcing events and negotiations for high-value, multi-year contracts. We require experience devising and leading negotiations with Tier 1 vendors such as Microsoft, ServiceNow, TCS, and Accenture. We value experience building category strategies from the ground up within a transformation environment. We value familiarity with software asset management processes and negotiation planning. We prefer candidates who can work effectively in a senior, commercially focused procurement role. Responsibilities: We will own and execute category strategy and commercial outcomes across the full technology portfolio, prioritising categories with the greatest near-term opportunity. We will build living category plans from the ground up in partnership with business stakeholders, including market analysis, supply base segmentation, demand-side influence, route-to-market selection, and savings identification. We will lead sourcing events and negotiations for strategic and high-value contracts using our eSourcing tooling as standard practice. We will partner with Software Asset Management teams to develop deal calendars and support negotiation planning. We will build and maintain the technology category savings pipeline and report it to Finance on an agreed cadence. We will identify and quantify both price and quantity levers, including rate reduction, volume aggregation, scope discipline, and demand management. We will contribute significantly to our committed savings target as the category function reaches its target operating state. We will help establish the category foundation, including strategy, supplier frameworks, pipeline visibility, and team structure. We will deliver measurable commercial impact from day one of full operation.
