Our client a Construction Consultancy is looking for a Cleark of work to join them in the Hampshire area
Key Responsibilities:
Fire Safety Compliance:
* Review to ensure all construction activities comply with relevant fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
* Review and comment upon fire safety plans, designs, and materials
* Perform site inspections to monitor fire safety practices and identify any potential risks.
* Verify that fire safety installations (e.g., fire doors, fire stopping, sprinkler systems, masonry work and drylining) are correctly installed and functioning.
* Report any non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
Prepare detailed reports on compliance and present findings.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Training and Awareness: Promote a culture of quality awareness on the construction site.
Provide guidance and support to the construction team on best practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications (ideal)
Diploma or degree in Fire Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in passive fire safety or construction safety (e.g., NEBOSH, FPA, IFE, Site Manager) are highly desirable.
Professional memberships ICWCI, MCIOB, RICS, IFE
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ construction experience.
Proven experience with façade remediation projects and higher risk buildings.
Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS 9999, BS 9991).
Fire door inspections.
