Job Description Position: HSE Advisor Location: Bedfordshire Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum benefits About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our team on a high-profile data center project in Bedfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance on a cutting-edge project. The successful candidate will work closely with the HSE Manager to maintain and enhance safety standards, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the successful delivery of the project. The Key Responsibilities of the HSE Advisor: Supporting the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards. Identifying potential hazards and risks, and providing practical solutions to mitigate them. Delivering HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel to promote a culture of safety awareness. Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions. Collaborating with project teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all phases of the project. Keeping up-to-date with changes in HSE legislation and best practices, and advising the team accordingly. Preparing and maintaining accurate HSE documentation and records. The HSE Advisor will have: A recognized qualification in Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma preferred). Proven experience in an HSE role, ideally within the construction or data center sectors. Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A valid UK driving license.
