Nottinghamshire County Council is developing all‑age ways of working in Social Work Community Teams and permanent Social Work Practitioner vacancies have arisen in the Gedling District Community Team. We are looking for 2 dynamic Social Workers with relevant knowledge, skills and expertise in all areas of Social Work practice and hospital discharge.
Responsibilities
* Join a Social Work Community Team and develop practice working across an all‑age resident population.
* Enable effective integrated working with partners and promote independence through reablement and enablement approaches.
* Safeguard vulnerable people and undertake Section 42 Enquiries.
* Apply strength‑based approaches to promote choice, control, personalisation and self‑directed support.
* Collaborate with other Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers in a fast‑paced team.
* Receive regular formal and informal supervision and be supported to develop skills within practice.
Qualifications
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
* Additional qualifications such as Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP), Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2) are welcome.
