Are you passionate about supporting children with complex special educational needs, medical conditions, and challenging behaviour?
We are a dedicated and nurturing SEN school looking to recruit SEN Support Workers to join our vibrant team from September 2025. We support students aged 11–16 with a range of needs, including autism, physical disabilities, medical needs, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
We have both full-time and part-time roles available to suit the right candidates.
The Role:
1. Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for students with complex SEND needs
2. Assist with medical and personal care routines (training provided)
3. Support behaviour management strategies for students displaying challenging behaviour
4. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs), healthcare plans, and behaviour support plans
5. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
6. Work closely with teachers, therapists, medical professionals, and families
Who We’re Looking For:
7. Experience working with children or young people with SEND, especially those with medical and behavioural needs
8. A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
9. Ability to follow care and safety protocols with precision
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. Willingness to undergo training in areas such as Team Teach, manual handling, and medical procedures
12. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or Health & Social Care qualification (desirable but not essential)
