The Opportunity
Were recruiting for a precision engineering firm thats heavily invested in its workshop and continuing to expand its CNC turning section. Theyre looking for a skilled CNC Sliding Head Programmer/Setter/Operator with experience on Star machines (other sliding experience considered) to join their growing team.
You’ll be producing high‑precision components across a range of projects and have the opportunity to develop across other turning platforms — including single/twin spindle and turret machines. For the right person, there’s a clear path towards progression as senior cnc machinist.
The Role
* Programming, setting and operating sliding head lathes, and the option to work on other twin spindle, or twin turret lathes.
* Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
* Optimising programs for quality, efficiency, and cycle time
* Occasional support across other CNC turning machines
Working Hours
Flexible Double Day shifts - pick what suits you best:
Days: Mon - Thur, or Mon - Fri early finish
Lates: Mon -Thur, or Mon - Fri early finish
(Option to work either shift permanent or alternate weekly)
