Multi Utility Operations Co‑Ordinator Technician (Gas & Electric)

Murphy iDNO/iGT business is looking to expand their team with a permanent full‑time Network Co‑ordinator appointment on the Gas and Electricity side.


Overview

This role predominantly involves administrative duties relating to utilities asset management, network operations, maintenance and NCRs logging, enabling efficient applications processing for new customers, assets, generation, faults and related activities. It also involves continuous improvement of the process, working closely with Business Development and managing ICPs to control network administration, site inspections, asset management, quality of installation, defect reporting and non‑conformance reporting.


Key Responsibilities

* Maintain the logging of all site auditing and inspections NCRs, reviewing day‑to‑day whereabouts records in accordance with Company procedures and analysing data to recommend preventive actions.
* Proactively manage faults and emergency logging throughout the end‑to‑end process to improve outputs with all service providers.
* Support and manage the routine maintenance and inspection programme; raise purchase orders and coordinate with ICPs to close out reports.
* Provide support to the team and ensure generic design approval admin of UIPs/ICPs, contractors and service providers’ queries is resolved.
* Maintain document control, folder structure and records of network assets being designed, installed, tested and commissioned, ensuring fit for business purpose and compliance with industry, regulatory and legislative standards.
* Ensure services providers’ electricity and gas commissioning documents are properly saved, suitable, sufficient and of good quality.
* Monitor network group email, manage responses and keep up to date with all requirements.
* Maintain technical and safety audit/inspection records, ICP whereabouts, authorisation records and pre‑post construction asset records.
* Support administration of the Document Management System.


Qualifications

* Experience in a utility coordinator role in the construction industry.
* Previous experience within a multi‑utilities industry.
* Experience in utilities engineering/construction, gas and electrical is advantageous.
* Understanding of non‑conformance reporting with root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of inspection & test plans and quality plans.
* Auditor experience; solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and auditing.
* Standard knowledge and experience of gas or electricity distribution networks.
* General knowledge of standard ICP gas or electricity construction.
* General knowledge of network operation and maintenance.
* Managing site inspection, auditing and maintenance records.
