Main duties of the job
To undertake general nursing duties within thenursing team, including:
Cervical smears
Contraception advice and pill checks
Treatment room,( which includes Complexdressings & wound care, post op dressings and suture/clip removal, ringpessary insertion & changes, Injections, non-primary care requestedECGs) minor injury. and any other areasthat form part of the LCS.
Supporting SMI reviews.
Chronic disease management-LTC- Qof. Whichwill include Respiratory ( Asthma/COPD),Diabetes, Hypertension.
To work to practice protocols and guidelines
Vaccine/coldchain storage, monitoring, re-stocking, stock rotation and recording forordering
Healthpromotion and/or education
Undertakingspecific clinical activities for patients that have been delegated by the GPs
AssistingGPs with procedures when required
UndertakingClinical Audit
Ensuringthat all Infection Control procedures and precautions taken are compliant withthe latest guidance.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team todeliver an effective service to preventhospital admissions
Routine management of own areas and maintenance of workplace standards.
Safe management ofsharps procedures including training, use, storage and disposal

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC PIN
* A minimum experience of 2 years working in General Practice.
* Trained to undertake long term condition and QOF reviews, Cervical screening, and immunisations.
* Knowledge of SystemOne
* Spirometry trained.
