Head of Healthcare (Policy, Communications & Corporate Affairs)
My client is a globally renowned consultancy that is looking to add a person to their growing healthcare advisory team. This is a crucial role overseeing and supporting various global markets, sitting at the intersection of corporate, government, policy, and communications.
Note: This is a confidential role based elsewhere in Europe. Please only apply if you are potentially open to relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead client relationships across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare services accounts.
* Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that span media relations, reputation, corporate positioning, policy engagement, and patient advocacy.
* Provide senior counsel to C-suite executives on issues, market access, and reputational challenges.
* Manage a team of consultants, fostering professional development and best-in-class client delivery.
* Drive business growth through new business development, proposal leadership, and strengthening relationships across the healthcare ecosystem.
* Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and profitable project delivery.
* Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging healthcare narratives to provide proactive recommendations.
Qualifications
* 13-15+ years of experience in healthcare communications, corporate affairs, or related fields. Ideally, in global settings and across different markets, such as EMEA, APAC, Africa, LATAM, and Global.
* Prior consultancy/agency experience is required.
* Strong knowledge of the global healthcare sector, including regulatory and policy dynamics.
* Proven ability to lead complex accounts and provide counsel at senior levels.
* Track record of team leadership and success in business development.
* Mature, driven and can mentor the team to success.
