Marlowe Kitchen Fire Suppression is looking for a capable and experienced management accountant to take charge of preparing, reviewing, and reporting financial & business performance, and to analyze our productivity data.
You will be responsible for monthly management accounts for review, ensuring accurate, conclusive, and detailed management information is delivered. You will carry out forensic analysis of large volumes of data to provide insights into performance and margins.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts to a stage of completion that is ready to present for review within a strict deadline.
* Completion of an established reporting pack.
* Management of monthly ledger close.
* Liaising with management to resolve anomalies and explain results.
* Payroll journals.
* Comparison to budget.
* Short-term forecasting and budgeting.
* Balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
* Work-in-progress analysis and review of contracts.
* Accruals and prepayments, accrued and deferred income transactions.
* Fixed assets and lease accounting.
* Reconciliation of stock counts.
* CIS returns.
* Cash flow management.
* VAT returns.
* Irish tax returns.
* Day-to-day supervision and cover for the Assistant Accountant when required.
Requirements
Who we’re looking for
As well as possessing attributes such as a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, professional appearance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, we seek candidates who offer:
* Qualified accountant, or qualified by experience (part-qualified)
* Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within a varied and hands-on role. Construction industry experience is desirable.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Excel, experience with various accounting packages (Sage 200 preferred), and knowledge of CRM systems is desirable.
* A quick learner with drive and determination to meet deadlines.
* Resilient and adaptable.
