Someone who sees digital as a commercial growth engine, not a support function.We’re working with a rapidly scaling, multi-site, very consumer-facing organisation that’s investing heavily in technology, data and digital platforms to reshape customer experience, unlock growth, and simplify operations at scale.You’ll own the end-to-end digital and technology strategy, spanning:Core business systems and integrationsData, insight and analyticsCyber security, risk and complianceInfrastructure, service delivery and suppliersFundamentally your remit is to create and develop a modern, secure, scalable digital ecosystem that drives customer revenue, retention and operational efficiency across a national estate.What you’ll actually be doingDefining and delivering a clear, commercially aligned digital and technology strategyLeading large-scale digital transformation programmes that materially improve customer experienceUsing data and digital products to increase sales, improve retention and reduce manual effortLeading and developing a senior, multi-disciplinary technology team (circa 50 people across digital, data, applications, infrastructure and security)Owning supplier strategy and commercial outcomes, not just contractsPartnering with operational and executive stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technology solutionsManaging OPEX and CAPEX with board-level accountabilityYou’ll needProven leadership of IT and Digital functions in a complex, multi-site environmentA track record of delivering digital change, not just designing PowerPoint strategiesExperience within B2C environment, or preferably organisations who have a subscription or membership type modelStrong experience across digital platforms, applications, data, infrastructure and cyber securityConfidence operating at board level, translating tech into commercial outcomesDeep understanding of supplier management, contracts and value deliveryExperience operating within regulated or accredited environments (e.g. ISO27001, PCI, Cyber Essentials)Experience of working in retail, leisure or hospitality is very advantageousWhy this one’s differentThis role sits at the centre of growth strategy, not the edge of the org chartGenuine exec-level influence with the remit to modernise, simplify and scaleA rare chance to reshape and enhance digital foundations across a national footprint
