Allocated to our Packaging Technology business, we are looking for a highly motivated and proactive team member in the function of
Technical Sales Manager - Packaging Technologies, EMEA
In this position, you will support the key Account organization in driving profitable growth; implementation of product/price strategies and supporting sales campaigns. Moreover, you will work closely with Key Account Manager and Business Development Manager in developing & supporting initiatives & growth opportunities with selected customers and you will be responsible for delivering effective technical support, external / internal, including co-operation with application laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development: Identify, prioritize and drive new business opportunities for existing & new products. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, support sales strategies, and negotiate contracts where required.
* Account Management: Oversee all aspects of client accounts, including onboarding, service delivery, and renewals. Understand client requirements, communicate them effectively to internal teams, and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact. Develop more sustainable solutions portfolio.
* Technical Understanding: Develop and maintain knowledge of the technical requirements within the paper manufacturing sector.
* Issue Resolution: Address client concerns efficiently, resolving issues and escalating them when necessary to maintain positive relationships.
* Independent Work: Work independently on customer sites, managing chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
* Technical Degree or qualification in process, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
* Previous experience in paper manufacturing is preferred.
* Proven account management experience.
* Strong ability to identify sales opportunities and negotiate contracts.
* Willingness to travel and visit customers in EMEA. (Approx. 50%) with a specific focus in UK
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for client and internal interactions.
* Strong customer service orientation with effective problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
You are a proactive team player with a strong drive to develop the business. You take full accountability for your responsibilities, work effectively towards deadlines, and maintain a customer-focused approach. You are also willing to travel and visit customers across the EMEA as part of your role.
Location of role will preferably be in UK.
