Overview
Our Customer Delivery Driver role at Tesco involves delivering customer orders and providing great service in customers' homes. It is hands-on, physical, and varied; you’ll feel like your own boss while receiving support from managers and colleagues back at base. Availability and Pay
Pay: starts from £13.35 per hour, increasing to £14.56 per hour for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Policy: new colleagues join with a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; there are also opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12). Availability windows are shown during the week; contracted hours are scheduled with three weeks’ notice. We are flexible if your available times closely match but do not exactly align with advertised times.

What you will do (Responsibilities)
* Deliver your part of the customer shopping trip; ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
* Keep the back yard clean and litter-free; assist with tray washing as part of the process.
* Load the van, check roadworthiness, and communicate any order changes to customers (substitutions, refunds where applicable).
* Care for products/deliveries as if they were your own; deliver within the customer’s time slot; call customers if you are early or late; contact the store if you are running late by 30 minutes or more.

* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and ensure excellent customer service.
* Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues; understand customer needs and express gratitude.
* Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and store conditions; drive energy and motivation to exceed expectations.
* Share ideas with management to improve store performance.
* Valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
