About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no two days are the same.
You will play a vital role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
As customer satisfaction is at the core of our values, you will continually seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
Ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers is a key responsibility.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Assisting across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines, to meet customer needs.
* Applying safety training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and adhering to policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately at the start and end of shifts for proper pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to ensure safety.
* Following the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of Shift Leaders or Store Managers.
* Following all training to keep safety and legal compliance.
* If applicable, managing daily Post Office operations, including passing necessary background checks.
