Job Overview
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape and lead the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision at our school and to become a member of the School Leadership Team. We are looking for an inspirational, ambitious teacher with a proven track record of raising standards who can contribute to and drive excellence in teaching, learning, and the EYFS curriculum.
This unique position will shape EYFS provision within the school as we have recently restructured our EYFS provision to include a 2‑year‑old unit, building on our current excellent provision. In this role you will support leading the line management of a small team, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning, ensuring excellent progress for all children across all areas, and delivering quality, daily classroom practice.
Key Responsibilities
As the EYFS Lead, you will play a key role in the experience of our youngest learners, ensuring every child has the opportunity to shine at the start of their learning journey. You will promote high aspirations for all and a love of learning through a rich and creative curriculum rooted in fun, engaging, and playful first‑hand experiences. You will support our students’ first steps into education and help them reach their full potential in all aspects of school life.
Qualifications and Experience
* A proven track record as an outstanding EYFS teacher.
* Effective EYFS pedagogy to inspire positive outcomes across foundation stage.
* A commitment to raising standards for all pupils.
* An effective communicator who can work collaboratively within key stage teams and implement a vision of growth for the school.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong teamwork.
* Experience implementing effective school improvement strategies that raise attainment.
* Creative partnership working with pupils, families, staff, governors, and the wider community.
* A commitment to engaging in all aspects of wider school life and development.
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and the ability to overcome learning barriers.
* A commitment to safeguarding and the well‑being of children.
