Job Description

Please note: as this post is part-time, your salary will be pro-rata to hours worked.

To ensure the timely and accurate registration of births, deaths, marriages, stillbirths, civil partnerships, and citizenship ceremonies, and to advise on all other registration matters such as re-registration of births and change of name.

To undertake registration ceremonies and citizenship ceremonies.

To liaise with the Home Office, Immigration Office, and the Registrar General for Scotland to ensure the adequacy of the service provided at all times.

To provide advice and guidance to non-British citizens planning to marry in Scotland and to scrutinise passports, visas, and other documents in accordance with Immigration Control regulations.

To support the provision of online certificate orders through the Scottish Certificates website.

To support the provision of the Local Family History Centre, including Scotland's People service.

To support the delivery of an efficient and effective registration service.
