Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in leading our care team and ensuring the highest standards of person-centered care are delivered to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Care Assistants, acting as a role model for best practice.
Take responsibility for the clinical and personal care of a designated group of residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and independence are respected at all times.
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of individualised care plans.
Administer medication and undertake specific clinical tasks as trained and designated (e.g., dressings, catheter care).
Monitor and report on residents' wellbeing, accurately recording and reporting any changes in condition to the Nurse in Charge/Home Manager.
Lead and motivate the team during shifts, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the smooth running of the floor.
Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support to enhance their quality of life.
Support the training and induction of new staff members.

Strong communication, delegation, and teamwork skills.
A proactive and responsible approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A willingness to learn, develop, and undertake further qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care).
Previous experience as a Care Assistant is essential, with supervisory experience being a significant advantage.
Competency in medication administration and clinical tasks is highly desirable.
