Bring your energy to Aggreko as Senior Cost Estimator – Hybrid / Renewables based in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You’ll be responsible for developing detailed, accurate and competitive cost estimates for Aggreko’s hybrid power proposals and provide precontract award managerial support. This includes working with the Energy Solutions team to conceptualize hybrid power solutions and proceed to develop detailed accurate capital cost estimates for complete hybrid power stations, potentially inclusive of a diesel or gas power station, solar farm, Battery Energy Storage System or Wind farm.

What you’ll do as Senior Cost Estimator:
1. Conduct thorough research and analysis to estimate the cost of materials, labour, equipment, and other resources required for each project
2. Gather and analyse actual costs from projects under construction and recently completed
3. Run tender processes to select project suppliers and subcontractors
4. Contribute to the value assessment of new renewable energy technologies
5. Provide detailed and accurate project cost estimates on schedule
6. Continuously improve the cost estimation process in accuracy and efficiency by incorporating feedback and best practices
7. Develop Scope of Works to form an integral part of construction sub-contractor contracts
8. Management work as required for project early works agreements
You are:
9. Highly experienced (min 5 years) in Project Cost Estimating, with a focus on electrical estimating, coming from a renewables energy, large scale construction, electrical estimating or similar industry
10. Ideally experienced (local or overseas) with a solar farm developer, a solar farm contractor, a battery contractor or with a general construction contractor on major renewable energy projects
11. Experienced using Pronamics estimating software
12. Experienced with Project Management and delivery
13. Experienced in the development of detailed, accurate project capital costs
14. Able to identify and challenge ways of working that impact efficient performance delivery and influence stakeholders to initiate changes
15. Able to work in a geographically dispersed global organisation
16. Demonstrated as holding a high level of accountability and credibility
