Security Officer
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week - 4 on, 4 off nights

We are recruiting a Security Officer to deliver a professional and reliable service at a well-established organisation. In this role you will help protect employees, visitors and site assets by following assignment instructions and maintaining the highest standards of integrity, vigilance and helpfulness. You will be the key part in ensuring the safe and secure day-to-day operations of a busy site environment.
Responsibilities
* Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site; monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
* Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the assignment instructions
* Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
* Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the assignment instructions
* Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the assignment instructions
* Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the assignment instructions
* Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications
* Valid SIA licence
* Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable and trustworthy
* Strong communication skills in English – both written and spoken
