SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Support (Lavender Class)

Location: Central Bristol (BS2)
Pay: £13.74–£14.50 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

Looking for a role where your calm nature and people skills really matter?
This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a specialist team in a Bristol school’s Enhanced Learning Provision—Lavender Class—supporting pupils with Autism and Social Communication Difficulties.

What you’ll be doing:
Mornings: You’ll join a small, nurturing class that provides structure and care to KS2 pupils with ASC. You'll support their learning, routines, and emotional wellbeing.
Afternoons: You’ll work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil as they integrate into their mainstream class. It's all about building trust, encouraging participation, and helping them feel seen and supported.

* Experience supporting pupils with Autism or other SEND needs

* A calm, encouraging approach and bags of patience

* Someone who can build strong, positive relationships

* Team players who aren’t fazed by a busy, varied day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
