The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s part-qualified and ready to take the next step in their career - someone who’s confident with day-to-day bookkeeping, but hungry to grow their skills in month-end, reporting, and commercial insight. You’ll be a key part of ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, supporting accurate reporting and decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will make a big impact in a small but powerful Finance function.
What You’ll Do
* Manage the weekly pay-run process, optimising our accounts payable systems
* Co-ordinate reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors and intercompany balances
* Own transactional finance processes including expenses and accounts receivable
* Support month-end close, including journal posting, accruals, prepayments, and reporting
* Help prepare VAT returns and support statutory and audit processes
* Track and reconcile stock, cost of goods sold (COGS), and employee expenses
* Maintain accurate financial records and support process improvements
* Assist with cash flow forecasting and support the wider team with financial insights
What You’ll Bring
* Solid experience in a finance or accounting role, with exposure to both bookkeeping and reporting
* Part-qualified and actively studying
* Confident working with reconciliations, journals, and supporting the month-end process
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
* Good working knowledge of Excel and financial systems
* A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing business
Nice to Have
* Hands-on experience using Xero
* Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
* Desire to progress in your accounting qualifications and responsibilities
