Applicants are invited to apply for a temporary Support for Learning Assistant post based at Deanston Primary School. The post-holder will report directly to the Head Teacher. Duties will include developing positive supporting relationships with children; supporting physical, social and mental wellbeing needs; promoting the school’s inclusive ethos; assisting children to engage in learning through individual, group or whole class activities; providing pupil support during lunch and playtimes; and liaising with teaching staff regarding pupil progress and planning. You must have achieved competency with Literacy and Numeracy skills; have good organisational and communication skills; be able to work flexibly as part of a team; relate well to children and have an inclusive, nurturing approach to working with young people. Having First Aid training and an understanding of neurodiversity are also desirable for this post.
