To cover a period of Shared Parental Leave, the Finance Manager (Fixed Term) will be responsible for financial partnering and support across the business, based in Dundee.
We are looking for a dynamic, pro-active, results orientated self-starter who has the skills and experience to partner with key stakeholders. interacting on a regular basis with the business and providing solid financial guidance and support.
Role and responsibilities:
During your transition into the role and handover period, you will report to the Finance Manager. Thereafter, you will report directly to the Mill Manager. In this role you will and have one direct report; Payroll and Operations Assistant.
You will be responsible for the preparation, delivery and oversight of the following areas:
Oversight of monthly payroll for 90 employees across 2 business sites
Production of budgets and management accounting.
Preparation of reconciliations and analysis of financial results
Taxes: VAT, all payroll taxes and R&D tax credits
Auditing: responsible for coordinating internal and external audits
Oversight and management of full financial reporting cycle
Business partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that above elements are produced to a high level of accuracy.
Work in close cooperation with the European Shared Services, local and regional management.
Required qualifications and experience:
ACCA, CIMA qualification, Qualified by experience
Payroll experience
HMRC reporting
Good written interpersonal and presentation (powerpoint) skills
Intermediate/advanced Excel competency
Knowledge of MS Power Query and VBA preferred.
Good to have:
SAP
Previous experience in a similar corporate environment
Exceptional attention to detail with ability to analyse and interpret and analyse data
