An established RBCA are currently recruiting for a self-sufficient Class 2 A / B Registered Building Inspector to oversee residential developments in Bury St Edmunds.
Building Inspector responsibilities
Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
Attend client meetings as required
Building Inspector requirements
Class 2A Registered Building Inspector (or actively engaged in the registration process)
Construction-based experience
Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion
Interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental concerns
IT literate
