Making a Difference as Senior Social Worker/ AMHP with the Emergency Duty Team
The St Helens Emergency Duty Team, who are also commissioned by Halton LA, deliver an out of hours emergency response in respect of risk of immediate harm for People's Services. This encompasses immediate risk of harm to children and adults, mental Health support/ assessments, and homelessness. EDT's primary office base is situated at Municipal Building in Widnes. The team operate using a hybrid shift working model which is inclusive of the opportunity to work from home during weekdays and overnight shifts dependent on the need and circumstances of the shift, however being office based is expected at weekend, day and evening shifts. As a member of the St Helens & Halton EDT Service, you will be part of a skilled and professional team supported by experienced colleagues and Team Manager.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a high-quality service to vulnerable children and adults.
* Undertake Mental Health Act Assessments as an Approved Mental Health Professional.
* Operate with a high level of professional autonomy within safeguarding work and related legislation and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) eligible to undertake Mental Health Act Assessments.
* Awareness of legislative and procedural issues relating to safeguarding work.
* Ability to operate with a high level of professional autonomy.
