Additionally, all new consultants in the Geriatric service-aligned with other Royal College of Physicians Group I specialties-are allocated a 0.5 PA contribution to support the generalist and unselected needs of our patients. This contribution can either be provided directly by you or shared across the wider service. Person specification Professional Registration Essential criteria Full GMC registration Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register CCT expected within 6 months of interview date OR if CESR, confirmation from the relevant Royal College that you will be entered onto the SR Professional Qualifications/Development Essential criteria MRCP (UK) or equivalent MBBS or equivalent Desirable criteria Higher professional degree Clincal Skills/Experience Essential criteria Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families and other health professionals. Experience in Geriatric Medicine Desirable criteria Specific training in communication skills Specific training in patient safety and/or human factors Management Skills Essential criteria Able to develop, present and operationalise coherent ideas for service development/delivery.
